Gbarpolu County has 6 administrative districts — Bopolu, Belleh, Bokomu, Gbarma, Kongba and Gounwolaila.
Administrative districts are the primary units of local governance and development administration, each headed by a District Commissioner appointed by the President of Liberia. Gounwolaila’s figures (M: 9,513 / F: 8,473 / T: 17,986) are sourced directly from Table B2 of the official LISGIS 2022 census report.
